I am Michael Dewar, Sr. This site is used to host my written works, interact with my readers and supporters, and promote new events and giveaways. Professionally, I am both pastor and social worker; I was trained in both disciplines. But pastoring is my primary calling and profession. I am also a specialist in church and family conflict resolution.
I used to practice social work in a healthcare setting, but I have retired from that. My focus now is pastoring, teaching, and writing. I am founder and pastor of the New York Congregational Baptist Church.
Academically, I hold advance degrees from several institutions of higher learning. This includes the Bachelor’s degree, the Master of Divinity, the Master of Social Work, a Doctorate, and a License in Social Work from the State of New York. This also includes mental health training and experience.
